The initiative to create the Polish–American Center is guided by the mission of strengthening ties between representatives of the American and Polish communities in culture, academia, diplomacy, and business, inspired by the timeless values embodied by Tadeusz Kościuszko — a hero of two nations.
In the distinguished setting of the Main Hall of Collegium Novum, Editor Konrad Myślik (Member of the Committee’s Board), together with the guest of honor, Prof. Marek Kozień, PhD, DSc, of the Tadeusz Kościuszko Kraków University of Technology, presented nominations to the first members of the Honorary Advisory Council of the Polish–American Center.
The nominees are distinguished experts from Poland and the United States who, through their professional achievements and public service, have made significant contributions to strengthening ties between the two nations.
Among them were:
– The Honorable Phyllis C. Borzi, Former Assistant Secretary for Employee Benefits Security, U.S. Department of Labor;
– Prof. Jim Mazurkiewicz, Regents Fellow & Leadership Program Director, Texas A&M University;
– Prof. Konrad Raczkowski, PhD, DSc, Director of the World Economy Center at Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University;
– Mateusz Jurczyk, Branch Director (Kraków & Katowice), American Chamber of Commerce in Poland.
