Official Announcement of the Planned Opening of the Polish–American Center during the Visit of the U.S. Ambassador to Kościuszko Mound

On February 12, a special event was held at The Kościuszko Mound in Kraków, jointly organized by the U.S. Consulate General and The Kościuszko Mound Committee in Kraków, inaugurating the Freedom 250 campaign.

It was here that we began our joint celebration of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. The Committee had the honor of hosting U.S. Ambassador to Poland Tom Rose at The Kościuszko Mound – this was his first visit to Kraków.

During the meeting, the Committee’s ambitious initiatives for the coming years were presented for the first time. They were introduced by Łukasz Chyla, Head of External Relations, who outlined a forward-looking vision of continued Polish-American cooperation.

USA250 at Kościuszko Mound – celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence.

Polish-American Center – a new space for dialogue, education, and cooperation, strengthening transatlantic relations.

“Light for Independence” – symbolic illumination of the Mound connecting Poland and the United States.

US-CEE Connection Weekend – annual conference bringing together leaders from the United States and Central and Eastern Europe.

These initiatives demonstrate that Kościuszko Mound is today a vibrant center of Polish-American cooperation – rooted in the legacy of Tadeusz Kościuszko while consistently looking toward the future.
